California Department of Transportation
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) maintains a hierarchy of classification for thousands of miles of roads throughout California. In addition to tracking new exits, road changes, and the re-naming of 166,000 miles of surface roads, the agency regularly submits 1,600 California Road System(CRS) maps to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). After careful consideration, Caltrans selected the Tele Atlas®/ONE program to help develop and provide its base map. Once Caltrans completed the task in partnership with Tele Atlas’, the organization began to see the benefits of a common base map that could serve as the data standard for all cities, counties, and transportation departments throughout California – allowing the various agencies to share critical information faster and more efficiently.

Google
Tele Atlas has signed a long term license agreement with Google giving them access to Tele Atlas maps and dynamic content in more than 200 countries around the world. The agreement spans Google’s current and future map-based services and navigation offerings across mobile, online and desktop environments. These include the Google Maps™ and Google Earth™ services and mobile applications such as Google Maps for Mobile™. The agreement also gives Tele Atlas access to edits for its maps from Google’s community of users, whose suggested changes can help the company further increase the quality and richness of Tele Atlas maps.

State of Louisiana Department of Social Services
Louisiana’s Department of Social Services needed geographic content for its new food stamp fraud detection application. State of Connecticut, Department of Public Safety
The Tele Atlas®/ONE program has helped Connecticut to meet the specific mapping, geocoding, and routing needs of each government customer. It provides a single, enterprise-wide data source that enables a seamless data environment across all agencies and programs. The Office of Statewide Emergency Telecommunications (OSET) began using the program to develop a single mapping standard internally, but now the Tele Atlas®/ONE program is used by all government entities throughout Connecticut. The state is leveraging a comprehensive, high quality solution that provides data for 911 mapping applications and emergency management, and is helping OSET to save lives.
